OPEN HOUSE WEEK
WHEN
From Tuesday to Friday of the week after Victoria Day, the Oshawa Lawn Bowling Club opens its doors to the public for our annual Open House Week.
TIMES
From 2:00 – 4:00 pm and 7:00 – 9:00 pm, on each of those days, our lawn bowlers are available to demonstrate our game and allow participants to try bowling for themselves.
We provide the bowls and all equipment. We just ask that you wear flat-soled shoes (runners are fine) to protect our greens from damage.
REGISTRATION
Keeners will want to register right away while others might want to come back another day to try again before committing themselves to joining. Registrations will be accepted during and at any time after Open House.
BENEFITS
There are many benefits to the sport of lawn bowling. Foremost, you are outside enjoying the summer weather. You get plenty of exercise bending, stretching, lifting and rolling bowls, and walking, as you engage in a game. You give your brain a good workout, too. There is no cheaper sport out there. Finally, unless you sign up for a tournament, you come to bowl when it suits your schedule; you’re not letting anybody down since we draw to form teams from the members who attend on any given occasion.
